Donnamarie, Patti, Sandee, John and grandkids, I can not begin to tell you how completly shocked I was to open my email and see the announcement. I have tried to think about what to say and would only echo what everyone said about him. So often I would see Don walking around Dublin, and just know that Dublin was right because you saw Don walking. There was walking with the briefcase which meant that he was either coming or going to or from work. Then there were the days that he just walked. One of my favorite memories is hearing about the family trips that he would never drive the same stretch of road EVER, they would take detours to see giant balls or yarn and other oddities throughout the country. Most importantly I would like for you to know how very much I appreciated he and your mom taking all the “misfits” into their home and allowing us to stay as long as we needed. No questions ever, just always a smile and a hello. When there was a time while growing up I was having a hard time with my own family, I could go to the Biddle’s and feel at ease and talk when I needed to talk. I loved the times when Grandma would come to the house and clean and cook. I could never put into words what the Biddle family means to me. God bless you all and my deepest love and condolences on this loss.
