Dolores Paulette Howard's Obituary
Dolores Paulette Howard, of Castro Valley, passed away early morning Friday, March 21st. She was 101 and one half years old.
Dolores was born in San Francisco, daughter of the late Mary Kram. Dolores was an incredible artist, specializing in various landscapes and flower art. She was the graduate of University of California, Berkeley where she acquired a teaching degree of Art. She retired from the Hayward Unified School District where she taught the art of oil paintings and water colors for many years. After retirement, Dolores continued to teach art at Assisted Living and Convalescent Hospital in Bay Area until 95 years of age. She also enjoyed home gardening, her grandchildren, dancing and traveling the world with her late husband John F. Howard.
She is survived by her loving sister, Betty Jones of Surprise, Arizona; her two sons Daniel of Pioneer, Gregory of Poway, two grandsons, Kyle and Troy, and granddaughter Ashley and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions to the American Cancer Society in Dolores' memory.
