Dionne Rene Morgan Dec. 26, 1953 – Jan. 14, 2016 Resident, Oakland/Vallejo Dionne R. Morgan passed from a long hard fight with cancer Thurs., Jan 14 at home surrounded by her family at the age of 62.Born on Dec.26, 1953 in Oakland, CA Dionne the eldest daughter of Elijah Morgan and Dolores Loretta Stone graduated from San Francisco State University. She worked as a waitress at Fenton’s Ice Cream parlor for a number of years. She also worked in the Funeral and Real Estate industry for over 35 years. Dionne was a wonderful cook, out spoken Toastmaster and hardworking entrepreneur who loved the Lord. She is survived by her partner of 26 years, Gale A. Lighthall. Gerald Morgan, Maurice Morgan, Deborah Young, Linda C. Morgan-Price, Stephanie Morgan, Phyllis Emerson (Deceased). A viewing will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thurs. Jan. 28th at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA 94544. Funeral will be held at 11 am Fri., Jan. 29th at Palma Ceia Baptist Church, 28605 Ruus Rd., Hayward, CA 94544. Burial to follow at Rolling Hills Cemetery, 4100 Hilltop Dr., Richmond CA 94103. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Palma Ceia Church Cancer support group. Arrangements under the direction of Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary.
