Diana L. Leffler June 18, 1945 ~ Jan. 10, 2012. Resident of Fremont, Diana passed away January 10, 2012. Born on June 18, 1945 in Wales to George and Marjoria Wade. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 16th, from 5:30 ~9 pm in the Mission Chapel. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 17th , at 10:30 am in the Mission Chapel. Diana Leffler passed away on Tuesday after a valiant battle with cancer. Diana's kind and generous spirit touched the lives of all she knew and loved. Diana was born in Wales and moved to America when she was still a baby. She lived in Fremont for most of her life. She graduated from Washington High School in Fremont, and then worked as a secretary for the District Attorney's office for more than 40 years. She was also known for her many talents: she was The Tax Lady, The Cake Lady, and even The Cookie Lady. She loved baking, gardening, collecting everything under the sun for herself and for those she loved. She also loved cruising to Alaska, playing her favorite slot machines, reading the latest Nora Roberts novel, and living life to the fullest.Diana is survived by her daughter Tina Centoni, her son and his wife Mark and Sheree Centoni, her siblings, Nancy Bassett, Julie LaMarche, Bonnie Perry, and Terry Wade, and the love of her life, Gerald Keene. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Monday, January 16, 2012 from 5:30 to 8:00 pm and a funeral service on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 10:30 am at Chapel of the Chimes, 33992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA 94544.
