Dharampal Garg's Obituary
Dharampal Garg, 71, passed away Sunday, Nov 24th at Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara. He was born in Budhana a small village in the north part of India on 5th July 1948. Father was the first one in his village to get a formal education. He did his Bachelor of Technology from IT BHU, a prestigious college in India. After graduation, he joined a government job as a civil engineer and helped build and maintain dams, rivers, and bridges. He worked in the irrigation department in India for 30+ years and was happily married to Shobha Rani Garg for 40+ years. He is a religious man and follows Hinduism. He loves to travel and visit places — especially temples and holy places. He loved listening to old Hindi music and watching old movies. His favorite actor is Raj Kapoor. Friends describe him as a simple, down to earth person with unbounded optimism and energy. He always donned a smile on his face even in the most adverse of the conditions. He is survived by his children Preeti Agrawal, Kshitiz Garg, Pranav Garg and by a large family of brothers and sisters in India.
