Chapel Of The Chimes Hayward
Denny. I was surprised reading his name Dennis. He was always Denny, which captured his informality … and fun. And Denny is a good sports name. Denny treated everyone with respect–kids, babies, teens–It didn’t matter. That’s how he rated as my favorite uncle. It didn’t hurt having a bunch of kids so similar to my brothers and sisters that I could feel my cousins were my brothers and sisters. In fact, Denny was part and parcel to one big family of Martinezes, Mackins and Browns, and Denny contributed a lot to the personalities of ALL the cousins. I left the Bay Area 12 years ago, and have often thought about Denny. I sorely regret not having seen him in that time. I know he struggled with his disabilities, because the part of me that is him would feel the same way. I hope and pray that Denny’s loved ones may recover quickly from their loss; Geri, Steve, Robbie, Kathy…I recovered from the loss of Tammy, and it takes awhile, but it does happen. In fact I now really wish to see you guys and show off my new wife, Rebecca Martinez. There will be happiness down the line, assured by God, was my lesson. Special prayers will be in my heart for Denny’s fantastic wife, who visibly and continuously shows the kind of LOVE it takes to make a saint jealous. Geri, maybe God thought you could go shopping now, or maybe take a trip… With all my love,##imported-begin##Larry##imported-end##
