Dennis Richard Dahlin's Obituary
Dennis Richard Dahlin, resident of Newark (CA), passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on July 20, 2019 after a short battle with cancer. Dennis, along with his twin brother, were born on January 28, 1952 in Minnesota. He graduated from Tennyson High School in Hayward in 1970. Dennis met his future wife, Debbora, at Fremont Bank where they were coworkers. They spent their first date waterskiing on Lake Anderson in the spring of 1973. From that point on, they were inseparable and later married in 1977. Dennis and a couple of his friends opened Produce World in 1979 where he shared many wonderful friendships with his employees and customers. His most cherished moments were spending time with his family, Saturday morning motorcycle rides on his Harley Davidson, family barbecues, gardening, and vacation time. Dennis is survived by Debbora (wife), Dale (twin brother), James (son), Jennifer (daughter), Camille (stepmother), Jonelle and Suzanne (stepsisters), Leslie (daughter-in-law), Karl (son-in-law), Evan and Logan (grandsons), Sophia and Brooklyn (granddaughters), and many other dear family members. Services will be held in Hayward, CA at the Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary in the Mission Chapel on Saturday, August 10, 2019. Pastries and light refreshments will be served at 9:30 a.m. with services to follow at 10:00 a.m. Casual attire with Hawaiian or Harley shirts is encouraged. In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored if donations would be made to the American Cancer Society https://www.cancer.org/.
