DEMETRIO PREPUSE PULIDO Demetrio Prepuse Pulido unexpectedly went to be with The Lord on May 9, 2018 in Bellflower, CA at the age of 83. Demy is survived by his two daughters, Margaret Peregrin of Tracy and Christine Chong of Tracy He also has three grandchildren: Angelica Balatayo of Tracy, Kapulani Chong of Lodi and Kona Chong of Tracy. He has two great grandchildren: Noah Kolohe Israel Balatayo and Phoebe Chong Demy is preceded in death by his wife Emilia Bulusan Pulido and son Don August Pulido Demy was born on November 29, 1934 in Cavite, Philippines to Dominador Perello Pulido and Margarita Prepuse Pulido Demy graduated from Cavite High School in 1953. He enlisted in the Navy December 9,1953 until Jan 1976. He was a Chief Storekeeper He retired with an Honorable Discharge During his time in the Navy he was honored with: Navy Good Conduct Medal with Silver Star Navy Unit Commendation Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star Vietnam Campaign Medal with 3 Bronze Stars Presidential Unit Commendation Demy also belonged to the Freemasons. After retiring from the Navy, he worked at Jefferson Smurfit Corporation in Santa Clara for the next 20 years from 1976 to November 14, 1996 as a storekeeper. He went to church every weekend, sometimes during the week too. He donated to the church and many non profit organizations: the American Heart Association, St. Jude Children Research, Catholic Relief Services, Navy Marine Corps Relief Society, World Village For Children, United Way and the Disabled American Veterans and many others. When he was living in Union City he was an active member with the FILAM Association. He loved his family unconditionally and would do anything for his wife, kids and grandkids.
