Delphine A. Dumond's Obituary
DuMond Resident of Union City Beloved Mother, died peacefully on March 26, 2008. At the age of 86, born in San Francisco CA on September 23, 1921 and raised in Dixon, CA. Delphine is survived by her loving son’s, Kenneth Greene, Richard Greene, David Wieland. Her daughter, Terry Sundance, Stepson Roger Wiland, stepdaughter Cheryl, son-in-law Sonny Sundance, daughter-in-laws Nancy Greene, Diana Greene, 5 grandchildren and great grandchildren and her beloved dog Rita. Delphine was a descendant of The Vaca, Penoa Family, which in 1850 the town of Vacaville, was named after she was Park and Recreation Commissioner of Union City from Dec. 1977 – Aug. 1987. She was involved in many activities Little League, Cyo, etc. Public viewing will be held at the Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA, Thursday 4:30 – 8:30 pm. Funeral Service will be held at the Chapel of the Chimes, Friday, April 4th at 1:00 pm. Throughout Delphine later years, a dog would be her constant companion. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the SPCA or any animal shelter in Delphine’s name.
