Debra Ochoa's Obituary
Debra Ochoa, 8/2/1960 – 1/5/2012 was born in Oakland Ca. The daughter of Bay Area natives Felix Macias Sr and Jenny Macias had two brothers Felix Macias Jr and Larry Macias and a sister Sandy Macias. Debra lived in Hayward most of her life graduating from Sunset High School before marrying Jesse Ochoa Sr of Hayward. Together Debra and Jesse would have two sons Jesse Ochoa Jr and Nicholas Ochoa. She worked as a Business Office Manager and Medical Assistant at Eden Hospital and several other Doctors offices in the Bay Area. On April 23rd 1997 Debra was involved in an automobile accident that would leave her a quadriplegic for almost 15 years. A section of the 880 sound wall near the Tennyson on ramp was named after her. She moved to Dublin Ca with her family in Sept of 1999 and enjoyed collecting dolls and holiday nut crackers. She would became a Grandmother in September of 2011 when her first grandchild Jesse Ochoa 3rd was born. Debra passed away peacefully due to a pneumonia at Kaiser hospital with family and friends at her side. She will be greatly missed and will always be remembered for her strength and wisdom. She has survived by her two sons Jesse and Nicholas Ochoa and her grandson Jesse Ochoa 3rd. A memorial service will be held on Sunday 1/15/2012 at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward Ca.
