Deanna was Born on May 30th, 1939, to her parents June Nelson and Glenna Simpson, in Claremont Ca. Deanna was preceded in passing by her Husband George Price. Deanna is survived by her two sons Mikel and Morgan and their wives Jean and Noriko. Dee cherished her four grandchildren Alex, Austin, Paris, and Nick; and was elated when her great-grandchild Josie was born.
As a child, Deanna moved about the country with her family living in California, Michigan, and Nevada. In her last year of High School, she moved to San Leandro Ca. where she met the love of her life, George Price. The couple married in August of 1958. In December of 1959 Deanna gave birth to their first son, starting a family to which, she would devote her unmatched love and support for a lifetime. Deanna loved the arts and to travel both domestic and international.
Deanna and George traveled the world with the boys and later with their grandchildren, showing them different cultures and life experiences never to be forgotten. Deanna Loved to dance; she and George could find or make space to dance just about anywhere. Whether they were out in the town dressed to the nines or just home or in the backyard with friends and family, Dee was quick to show off her dancing skills. Deanna loved to host holiday meals at her home for very large crowds of family and friends. She would prepare the meals herself, working for days in preparation and would tell everyone how happy it made her to have everyone together. After the meal was over, the music would start and the dancing would begin, continuing into the late night!
Animals were always a big part of her life; they were all treated with the same love and respect that family members received. She had many dogs during her life, and two horses. Her two favorites were her black and white dog Beauregard and little donkey Sweet Pee. They could never do anything wrong.
Deanna’s love, understanding and acceptance of all she met warmed the hearts of everyone that had the privilege to know her. She will be missed dearly.
