RubioDAVID T. RUBIO To those who have known him as 'Uncle David'. Born July 5th 1903 in the. Passed away quietly at home on 14 June 2006, at the age of 102 and 11 months. A WWII Veteran, he joined the US Navy July 3rd 1942, serving on the USS Battle Cruise Indianapolis. In June of 1945 he became a United States Citizen and in August 1945 he was Honorably Discharged from the Navy SIC. He leaves behind 3 generations of the Torres's Family, which became his family in the 40's. Mr. & Mrs. Charles Torres Sr. of Fremont and his sons: Mr. & Mrs. Charles Torres II of Livermore; their children Son Charles and Daughter Marlowe Torres; Mr. & Mrs. Troy Torres of San Bruno and their daughter Katie Torres. Mr. & Mrs. Charles Torres's daughter; Mrs. Stacey McCay of Tennessee and daughters Charra and Cortney McCay. Mr. & Mrs. Carlos Torres ofDaly City and his sons Carlos, Ricky and Victor and Daughter Leilans Torres. He was a beloved friend of Robert Rosales, Bonnie Agular, Dennis Hammer, Roxann Hammer, Jerry Clark, Glennie Miller, and Mr. & Mrs. Rick Curbelo, Mr. & Mrs. Dick Covell and many more acquaintances who loved him dearly. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life on Tuesday, June 20 with a visitation beginning at 9 am and a service at 10 am. Both will be held in the Reflection Chapel at Chapel of theChimesMemorial Park and Funeral Home,32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward. Military burial will occur Friday, June 23 at 2:30pm in theSan JoaquinValleyNationalCemetery ,32053 W.
