David Hernandez's Obituary
On Sunday, March 15, 2020, David V. Hernandez, 89, passed away at home with family by his side.
David was born on July 28, 1930 in Brawley, CA to Ofelia Velasquez and Reyes Hernandez.
Later in life he joined the army during the Korean War.
After moving to Planada, Ca he met his wife, Carmen Moncada, and was married to her for 68 years.
David had a love for fishing and gardening. He took great passion in serving as Captain of his neighborhood watch and loved being outdoors. He always enjoyed Camping, going to Reno and having family get togethers at his house.
David is preceded in death by his siblings, Rebecca, Ismael, Rudy, Rachel, Dora and his oldest son Leonard.
David is survived by his wife Carmen, daughter Yvette, son David, daughter-in-law JoAnne, brother Daniel, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
