David Lynn Boivie, 80 passed away on Friday, March 22, 2002 at Kaiser Hospital in Hayward, California. David was born to Gustav Adolph and to Leona Virginia Boivie on March 30, 1921 in Aberdeen, Washington. David has been a resident of Hayward, California for 48 years. David worked as an Aircraft Inspector for 37 years for Alameda Naval Air Station. David enjoyed bowling and traveling with his RV. He loved his family so much. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and telling jokes. David was the greatest husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.David is survived by his dearly beloved wife of 57 years, Bernice Boivie of Hayward, California. He was a very devoted father to his daughter and son, Diane Christian of Modesto, California and David Boivie of Killeen, Texas. David was a dear brother to his sister and two brothers, Betty Hall of Castro Valley, California, Carl Boivie of Santa Rosa, California and Paul Boivie of Pittsburg, California. David was an adoring grandfather to four beautiful grandchildren, Julie Keene, Darlene Goodnow, Drew Boivie and Blair Boivie. He also leaves behind his four precious great-grandchildren, Kayla Keene, Lexie Keene, Ashley Keene, Hailey Keene and Ajay Mecklenburg.Family and Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at Fairway Park Baptist Church; 425 Gresel Street, Hayward, CA 94544 (510) 471-0200.
