David Mendoza Aguilar's Obituary
David Mendoza Aguilar, loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024. Born and raised in San Pablo City, Laguna, Philippines, David graduated college and received a Bachelor’s of Arts degree. He began work as a dental technician and became a master at his craft. He met his wife, Cedita Mistica, at church and the two had been married for the last 55 years. In 1978, David and his family immigrated to the US. Those who had the privilege of knowing David, knew him as the kindest, most loving, selfless, heartfelt, compassionate, generous, and God-fearing man. Even those who did not know him personally, would encounter his unique and special warmth through his smile and greeting to whomever he would pass by. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, and was loved and adored by all who knew him. David enjoyed his daily walks at the marina and continued doing household chores such as mowing the lawn, repairing fences, and driving to the store even at the age of 91.
He was ever present to his family and friends and would share in the good times and ready to help through any hardships. He loved preaching and singing in church where he at one time held services in his home.
David is preceded by his parents, Mariano and Flora Aguilar, his siblings Generoso Aguilar, Aurora Rono, Alejandro Aguilar, Pedro Aguilar, Pablo Aguilar, and Francia Cosico. He is survived by his wife, Cedita Mistica Aguilar, his two beloved daughters, Marjorie Aguilar, and her husband Jonathan Manning, Marian de Guzman and Damon Gee, his brother, Emiliano Aguilar and wife Remedios Aguilar, and his grandchildren Joel David Aguilar, Genesis Alexia de Guzman, Gavin Nathaniel de Guzman and Grayson Maddox de Guzman.
