Darren J. Walker's Obituary
Darren James Walker, 32, of Fremont CA, passed away on October 9, 2018. Darren was suddenly taken from us while a passenger in a single-car motor vehicle accident.Born on October 22, 1985 to parents, Ray Walker and Angela Sandoval, of Solano County. Darren, a true protector of animals and children, would always take anyone under his wing, stand up for them and protect them fiercely. He took in many stray, wounded or abused animals and would unconditionally love and care for them. He would not hesitate to help a person or animal in need. Darren was a big teddy bear with a big heart. He was a true and loyal friend to anyone that crossed his path.Darren loved to play basketball and baseball in his younger years. In baseball, he helped lead his team to victory where he pitched four scoreless innings in the All Stars game. In his very last basketball game, while in overtime, he tied the score and shot the winning basket.Darren had a true love of the outdoors his entire life. He enjoyed camping, boating, swimming, fishing and riding his dirt bike with family and friends. Darren loved the water, and he would swim in any ocean, lake, river or swimming pool. Darren was a wonderful cook, and was always happy to make and share meals with anyone. He was especially know for his great BBQs that he would regularly host at home with family and friends.Darren is survived by his parents, Ray and Angela; his maternal grandparents, Walter and Connie Sandoval; his paternal grandmother, Betty Zimmerman; his maternal aunt and uncle, Sean and Monica Comer; his cousin, Savannah Comer; his beloved dog, Ziggy and his extended family members and many friends.
