Daniel Rivera a Union City resident entered into rest Wednesday, September 26, 2001 in Hayward. Born in New Mexico on May 23, 1925, he was 76 years of age. Daniel was a World War II veteran. His hobbies were gardening, camping, boating, and carpentry, building patio furniture. He enjoyed reading his bible. He was a member of Knights of Columbus. Dearly beloved husband of Evelyn E. Rivera for 55 years. Loving father of Diane Dicus of Livermore, Kathy Sealana of Union City, Angie Bright of San Mateo, Danny Rivera of Union City, Steve Rivera of Tracy, Anthony Rivera of Tracy and Vince Rivera of San Jose. Dear brother of Sister Marianna (nun) of Michigan, Tita Sanchez of New Mexico, Dessie Gonzalez of New Mexico, Alice Costa of New Mexico and Ben Rivera of New Mexico. Devoted grandfather of fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday, October 1, 2001 from 5:00-8:30 p.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 703 C Street, Union City. Friends are welcome to attend Mass, Tuesday, October 2, 2001at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary Church. Interment will follow at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park.'Service of Marked Distinction'
