Daniel M. Duran's Obituary
Daniel Miranda Duran Resident of Fremont Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Friday, February 13, 2009 at age 78. He was born in Union City, CA. He graduated from Washington High School in Fremont. He joined the Navy when he was 18 years old. He settled in Fremont with his family for 38 years. He was a devoted Christian that loved to serve the Lord. He served the Lord faithfully as a Sunday school teacher, member of the men’s ministry, and usher. He was a member of Temple La Luz Del Valle Church in Union City, Bethania Church in Niles and Harbor Light in Fremont. Daniel was passionate about sports and loved to spend time with his family. He enjoyed watching his grandson’s games and loved to watch the Raiders. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Angela; his sons Daniel Duran Jr. & his wife Tammy; Dennis Duran & his wife Vangie; daughter Abigail Duran; six grandchildren Juliana, Michael, Dominic, Tate, Alex, and Devin Duran. He leaves three brothers Mike, David, Tom, and two sisters Hattie and Mary. He is predeceased by his brothers Walter and Milo and sister Rose. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Viewing and a Celebration of Daniel’s life will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at 7:00pm, Harbor Light Church, 4760 Thornton Avenue, Fremont, CA. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 20, 2009, at 1:30pm, at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Boulevard, Hayward, CA. Chapel of the Chimes 510-471-3363
