There is a hole in the world today as we mourn the passing of Dale Joseph Palmer. His life was a heroic story of love and service to his community and family. He served as a coast guard World War II Veteran in harm’s way. He distinguished himself as a decorated Oakland city firefighter. His crowning life’s achievement was as a father, grandfather, and loving spouse to three families. We were blessed by his enduring love and enriched by his patient nature. At 92 he left the world a smaller place, but in the hearts of his family we will always be filled with his love.
