Cruz Aragon,84,a longtime resi dent of Union City, CA went to heaven on July 3, 2014 after a long struggle with COPD. Born to the late Miguel and Elena Garcia, May 3, 1930 in Durango Mexico.Survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Jovita. A foreman at Hunts Cannery in Hayward for 30 years and a Security officer for Emporium Capwells, in Union City for 5. He loved the S. F. Giants, Championship World Boxing and Horse Races. He had a smile for all who came to visit, a wonderful sense of humor and loved to tell stories. Also a a passion for gardening and grew the most beautiful roses. He would belt out a song along to his favorite radio station. Survived by 6 children: Maria Aragon, Yolanda Gomez, Cruz Aragon Jr, Ernesto Aragon Sylvia Munoz, Irma Slingerland 11 grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren. Predeceased by two children : Miguel Aragon and Leticia Aragon. Memorial will be at Chapel of the Chimes 33992 Mission Blvd Hayward, CA Thurs. July 10 5–9 p.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Rosary. 703 C St, Union City, CA Fri July 11 at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Chapel of the Chimes.
