CONCHITA ABIVA's Obituary
Our dear mother, Conchita Abad Abiva died peacefully on April 27, 2015 in Fremont, California; she was 92 years old. Conchita was born in San Felipe, Zambales, Philippines on June 18, 1922. She married her beloved husband, Luis Alip Abiva on May 22, 1946. After the birth of their four children, Edgar, Nelson, Ethlyn, and Shirley in the Philippines, Conchita immigrated with her four children to Mountain View, California to join her husband, Luis, who was serving at the time in the US Navy at Moffit Field NAS.Conchita was predeceased by her husband, Luis, and is survived by her loving family; sons Edgar (and wife, Sonia), and Nelson (and wife, Hilda); daughters Ethlyn, and Shirley; grandchildren Jeannine, Matthew, Vanessa, Alex, Jason, Tammie, Nathan, and Daniel; great grandchildren Lauren and Ari; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.Conchita loved to dance with her husband Luis, cook all her many Filipino dishes, and enjoy life with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a loving parent to all her children, a loving Grandma to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a loving “Tita” to many who came to visit the family home throughout the years she lived. Her warm and welcoming presence in our lives will be missed. Her memory and the love she shared with all of us will remain in our hearts. May she now rest in peace and share in the Light of our Lord, Jesus, with her beloved husband, Luis.Funeral services will be held for Conchita on Friday, May 15, 2015 at Chapel of the Chimes Reflection Chapel in Hayward, California starting at 10:00 AM. All are welcome.
