Concepcion Jamili Reyes' Obituary
It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Concepcion Jamili Reyes, lovingly known as “Sioning,” who peacefully passed away on March 18, 2026, at the age of 89.
Concepcion was born on December 8, 1936, in Canlubang, Laguna, Philippines, to Dionisio Jelongos Jamili and Leonila Cristobal Hernandez Jamili. She was baptized in a Catholic church in Calumpit, Bulacan, where her grandmother lived—marking the beginning of a life deeply rooted in faith and family.
She spent 56 wonderful years in the Philippines before making the courageous and selfless decision to immigrate to the United States with her husband and two youngest children. With remarkable strength and sacrifice, she left behind the familiarity of home to begin a new chapter in a foreign land, driven by her deep love for her family and her unwavering hope for a better future. For the past 33 years, she built a life centered on love, connection, and family in the United States, while remaining closely connected to her loved ones in the Philippines.
Concepcion was a loving sister to her nine siblings: Leonor, Reynaldo, Benjamin, Mercedes, Virginia, Natividad, Lucila, Carlos, and Felicidad, all of whom shared in her life’s journey and cherished her deeply.
She was a devoted mother to her six children: Ronnie, Eric, Marlyn, Malou, Deo, and Jenny, and a loving mother-in-law to Nanette, Felicienne, Joey, and Ginny. She was a proud and cherished grandmother to Marty, Denise, Ellis, Climie, Richard, Roxanne, Rowen Andrew, Lauren, Kaitlen, Lucila, and Carlos, and a great-grandmother to Noah and Riley. Beyond her own children, Concepcion was also a second mother to many nieces, nephews, and godchildren, offering the same boundless love, guidance, and warmth she gave to her own family.
Concepcion worked as a telephone operator in Canlubang, Laguna, where she became well known in her community. While her work connected her to many, it was her kind heart and warm spirit that made her truly unforgettable.
She will be remembered as a loving, generous, and welcoming woman who always opened her home to others. She found joy in bringing family and friends together, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and care. Her beautiful smile and nurturing presence touched everyone who had the blessing of knowing her.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering devotion to family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives she touched.
