Christopher Hernandez's Obituary
Christopher Hernandez, age 91, of Modesto passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023 with his family by his side. He was born to the late Frank and Bridget Hernandez on April 9, 1931. Chris attended Washington Union High School in Fremont where he graduated in 1949. Chris served time in the Korean War before returning home where he became a truck driver until retirement in 1992. He loved being with his family and spent many years ranching and raising animals on his Modesto ranch. He married the love of his life Faye (Martin) in 1955, and was married for 61 years prior to her passing in 2016.
Chirs is survived by his children paula (Mark) Nickell and Christopher Hernandez Jr., grandchildren Ryan (Jessica) Nickell and Ashley (Benjamin) Clyde and Christopher (Deseree) and Emily Hernandez, four great-grandson and one great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter, many nices, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 20, 2023 at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd. Union City, CA at 12:00pm.
