CHRIS NIEVEZ CAMARENA CHRIS NIEVEZ CAMARENA Was called home by God on Monday, December 4, 2006 in Fremont, CA after 79 years. He was receded by his father, Gregorio and mother, Sara N. Camarena and brother, Tony. He is survived by his wife, Dolores “Lola” Camarena with whom he celebrated 56 wonderful years of marriage. Pop to Steven and Renee Vega. Father-in-law to Yolanda Camarena and Robert Vega. Loving grandfather to Jade Isaiah, Kristian, Kobe, Naomi, Alexa, Bobby, Josiah, Elimna and soon to be born Lira. He was brother to Chonita Leyva, Rose Kwartz, Rachel Montez, Connie Fuller, Carlos, Manuel, David Camarena. Brother-in-law and uncle to many. Chris was a member of Templo Betania for 56 years. During these years he also was a musician and played with different gospel groups. “The Heralds”, “The Bethanians”, “Los Hermanos”, the “Niles Orchestra of Templo Betania”. He, along with his wife, sang together for special occasions. He loved to go fishing, playing pool with his friends at Besaro Mobile Park and going to 49er and Giants games. And tending to his award winning landscaping and horseshoes. He was retired from the City of Hayward after 30 years of service. For the following 19 years he enjoyed his retirement, traveling abroad and all over the U.S. Some of his most memorable times was doing Mission trips to Mexico. Above and beyond all his adventures he was the happiest just being with Lola. he will be missed by many friends and brethren in Christ. He will be gone to us all but never forgotten in our hearts and minds. Services will be held Thursday, December 7, 2006 at 7 p.m. at Templo Betania Church, 4350 Hansen Ave., Fremont, CA and on Friday, December 8, 2006 at 10 a.m. also at Templo Bentania Church.
