Cheryl Ann Balles' Obituary
Cheryl Ann Balles, 45, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly from complications of pneumonia at St. Rose Hospital on October 11, 2013, amongst family and friends. A native of Hayward, California, she was one of two children born to Bernadette Balgas and Raymond Balles.Cheryl attended and graduated from Sunset High School. She went on to work in retail for the majority of her life. She was a devout believer in the power of God and in his ability to work miracles; she had an unshakable faith. She was a member of the Lighthouse Worship Center in San Lorenzo, California.Family and friends were Cheryl’s passion and delight. She was an avid karaoke singer and also loved to draw and cook. She had a terrific sense of humor that still makes friends and family smile today. She died too young and too soon, but will continue to live in our hearts, in our minds, and through her songs.Her mother, Bernadette Balgas, preceded her in death. Cheryl is survived by her sister, Patricia Reed of San Leandro and her husband, Steve Reed; sister Angel Montanio of Hayward and her partner Regina Conner; three nieces, Bernadette Balles, Patricia Chaloux, and Leilani Montanio; and five great–nieces and nephews, Aly’janae Balles, Damarron Mitchell, Jay’ana Mitchell, Darron Sumlin, and Nevaeh Richards. She also leaves behind many loving relatives and cherished friends.Inurnment will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014, at 1:00 pm, at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park, 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward, CA 94544. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
