Charlotte Ann Sharp's Obituary
Charlotte Ann Sharp April 25, 1933 – September 10, 2013 Resident of San Leandro Charlotte Sharp passed away at the age of 80 surrounded by family. She was born in Oakland, CA on April 25, 1933 to George and Helen Sorensen. She grew up in Oakland and graduated from Oakland High. Charlotte was a committed and devoted Mother to her children, only after they were raised did she seek employment. She worked at New York Fabrics in Hayward for a number of years until limited by a stroke. Charlotte was a Past President of the National Organization of Mothers of Twins and attended 46 consecutive conventions where she met many wonderful lifelong friends. She had a love of animals and got pleasure from her cat and multiple dogs. Charlotte was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years Eugene. Charlotte leaves behind her devoted children: Stanley (Isabel) of Manteca; Norm (Dee) of Mountain House; Keith of Pleasanton; Karen Knopfer of Livermore and Lynette Johnston (Rich) of San Leandro. She adored her five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Ester Bugna of Menlo Park, brother-in-law Richard Sharp (Carol) of Brentwood and two nephews and a niece. Charlotte was preceded in death by her daughter Cynthia, parents George and Helen Sorensen, brother Ted Sorensen and in-laws Ralph and Elizabeth Sharp. Her generous loving spirit and welcoming smile will be missed by all who knew her. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service celebrating her life on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes located at 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward.
