Charles Jule Silverman's Obituary
On January 20th, 2012, it rained. As my grandfather, Charles Jule Silverman left the earth, the sky released its tears, along with those of his family and friends that adored him so. Chuck Silverman passed away at the age of 82 from cancer . He was an inspiration to all who knew him, as he demonstrated what it meant to live a life of loving kindness and compassion for others, an undying love for animals and incredible generosity. A model humanitarian, Chuck dedicated his time as a Shriner where he spent many years helping children with disabilities. To them, he was known as a clown called 'Patches,' who brought happiness to so many. Chuck was a revered Mason and dedicated much of his life to the group where he met a number of his closest friends. The Masons became an extended family to Chuck and he was a proud holder of many positions and titles. Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Maxine and his four children, Alan, Debi, Maureen and Sharon (Randy). He was adored by his eight grandchildren, Angela, (Tony) Stacey, (German) Kristy, Christopher, Steven, Jamie, Alex and Mea and his four great-grandchildren Erika, Melena, Celena and Alicia. Daddy, Grandpa, Uncle Chuck, 'Patches,' you shined such a life on all of our lives and you will continue to inspire us to live life as you did- with great love, endless compassion, an open heart and helping hands. We love you so very much and we know you love us back.
