Charles Wilmont Santos, 72 passed away on Friday, August 17, 2001 at his home in Oakland, California. He was born on November 13, 1928 in Whitman, Massachusetts. He has been an Oakland, California resident for 34 years. He was retired from the U. S. Airforce after 20 years. He also retired from the U. S. Post Office as a Security Guard after 18 years. He loved to go fishing.He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Esther M. Santos of Oakland, California. He leaves behind his loving children, Marcia Harper of Concord, Charles Stacker of Fremont and George Stacker of San Jose, California. He also leaves behind a dear sister, Cecilia Santos of Massachusetts. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Valerie Clark, three sisters and his brother, Christian Santos, Jr. He has 11 wonderful grandchildren and 18 beautiful great-grandchildren.Family and Friends are invited to attend a Visitation during the Funeral Service on Friday, August 24, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home - Mission Chapel with Interment to follow at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park; 32992 Mission Boulevard, Hayward, CA 94544.The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations may be sent in his memory to the American Lung Association of Alameda County: 295 - 27th Street, Oakland, CA 94612.CHAPEL OF THE CHIMES MEMORIAL PARK & FUNERAL HOME -HAYWARD, CA (510) 471-3363."SERVICE OF MARKED DISTINCTION"
