Charles Michael Lindsay Jr.'s Obituary
Charles Michael Lindsay, Jr. of Crystal River, FL, passed on May 6, 2017, just one day before his 64th birthday. He was lovingly known as, Chuck, Chuckie, Uncle Chuck, UC, or Dad.Chuck was born in Boston, MA on May 7, 1953 to the late Charles Lindsay, Sr. and Grace Cuddy. He grew up in Holbrook, MA where he attended Holbrook High School. Shortly thereafter, he went on to serve our country with Navy in the Vietnam War from 1971-1972.A self-proclaimed Shaman, Chuck was a spiritual being and practiced Native American beliefs. He also loved nature and was a kindred spirit to all animals. Chuck could be thrown into a lions’ den and instead of eating him, they would be purring on his lap. He loved the Earth and respected his country.Chuck could never stay in one place for too long. He was always looking for his next adventure. He once hitchhiked from the east coast all the way to Alaska.He was a “Jack of all Trades” and held multiple occupations over the course of his life, including: Carpenter, Computer Programmer, Fishing Boat Captain, Taxidermist, Leather Goods Dealer, Bartender, and Truck Driver, to name a few!Chuckie was quite the jokester. He would light up the room he entered with his infectious spirit. He was funny, and loved his family and friends, including the Confederation of American Patriots, Castaways, and Dogs for Heroes.In his final days, Chuck was very proud of his garden that he spent a lot of time tending. He boasted that he had the most delicious tomatoes around. He loved singing, and playing the guitar. His favorite songs were “Desperado”, and “Leaving on a Jet Plane” which, he convinced everyone who knew him that he wrote it first.Chuck is survived by his three children, Kristoffer, Honorata, and Autumn, and his nine grandchildren. His four siblings, Karen, Cheryl, Ronald and Michael. His Nephews and Nieces, Joseph, Erica, Gretchen, Heather, Cory, and Aimee.
