Charles G. Leitheiser's Obituary
Charles G. Leitheiser 82, passed away Sunday December 16, 2001 of natural causes. He was a Hayward resident for 35 years. Born February 22, 1919 in South Dakota. Dearly beloved husband of Leona Leitheiser of Hayward for 31 years. Loving father of Fran Hosea of San Juan Island, Roberta Libby of Durham, Marjorie Dimmick of Arcata, Patti Bell of San Jose, Phillip Curtis of Idaho, Todd Leitheiser of Hodiak and the late Sandra Goely. Dear brother of Mary Ann Henry of Claremont and the late Ray, Jim, Ralph, Bill and Marcus Leitheiser. Devoted grandfather of twenty three grandchildren, twenty four great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Chuck enjoyed wood working, his wood creations can be seen in many places across the country. Chuck was an accomplished cabinet maker and continued after retirement to delight his family, friends, neighbors and the community at large with his imaginative creations. (windmills, animals, butterflies, if you could name it, he would make it.) Visitation will be held Wednesday December 19, 2001 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park and Funeral Home 32992 Mission Blvd. in Hayward. A Funeral service will held Thursday December 20, 2001 at 11:00 A.M. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church 166 west harder in Hayward. Burial will be at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward around 3:00 P.M.
