Charles R. Aurit's Obituary
Charles R. Aurit passed away April 27, 2008, in his home at the age of 85. Charles was born in Steel Jan. 23, 1923. He made is living as a heavy equipment operator for EBMUD. He was a World War II vet where he was assigned to the Aleutians and South Pacific. He received a purple heart.Charles was a wonderful husband to his wife, Virginia Bell. They had nine children. Charles is survived by eight of his children, James, Patricia, Charleen, Catherine, George, Dennis, Mike and Lucinda. His is also survived by his sisters, Genevieve, Marie and Joann. Charles had a deep appreciation for nature, family and friends. He was an artist, great storyteller and enjoyed playing Tic. Charles R. Aurit will be missed by all the people whose lives he touched.Graveside services for Charles will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 2, at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, Calif., 510-471-3363.
