Celia Mora's Obituary
Celia Mora Beloved and devoted mother, who passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Fremont, California. Celia was born in Mexico in 1918, entered America in 1927 and became an American citizen in 1976. She is survived by her two daughters Marie and Deborah and a son Richard. She is also survived by three sisters Eva, Toni and Margie, a brother Bert, ten grandchildren Jeffrey, Gregory, Christopher, Monica, Jennifer, Stephanie, David, Alison, Bobby and Jaclyn, and five great grandchildren Alyssa, Kayla, Leyva, Anthony and Luis. Celia Mora also had a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will always be remembered as a beacon of light in darkness and a source of inspiration, compassion, courage and love. A Rosary to be held Tuesday, January 22, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, California (510) 471-3363. A funeral mass will be held January 23, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Spirit Church in Fremont, California. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Mora Family Endowment Fund at the University of Santa Clara (please contact Nancy Calderon at (408) 554-2397) which was created to grant education scholarships to worthy Mexican American students seeking a degree at the university.
