Tio, even though I know you’re in a better place my heart still aches knowing that I will no longer see you. I have countless memories of you and am beyond grateful for all of the precious time we spent together. I remember all of the times you would take me as a young girl in your Capri to pick up Patty from school, helping you navigate the Internet to find the latest information about Benfica, Avo and I helping you cut fruit during the summer for what seemed like science experiments in your garage, Patty and I rushing to turn off the lights and pretend to be asleep when you would wake up to go to work and find us still playing Nintendo, all of our trips to Pico and other family road trips to Merced, Lodi, etc., all of your words of wisdom, and most of all, seeing how much your grandchildren lit up your life and made you forget about any illness you had. Thank you for being a great Tio to me, there will never be anyone else like you. I will forever appreciate grapevines in remembrance of you. Until we meet again….
