In Loving Memory of Carmen A. MartinezCarmen Martinez was born on January 30, 1934 in Managua, Nicaragua to Carlos Alberto Morales and Maria Guadalupe Espinoza. Her birth name is Alejandra del Carmen Morales Espinoza. She married the love of her life, Enrique Jose Martinez on May 6, 1955. Together they had three children, Henry Jr., Maria Eugenia and Lola.In 1961 the couple immigrated to the United States to seek a better future for their family. For years, they worked diligently to provide for their children and to form the foundation of what today is a strong family consisting of seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.Carmen’s loved ones will always remember her as a loving mother and Mimi to the grandchildren. Her heartfelt love was expressed to each member of the family in a special way. She taught us traditions and many life lessons that will be passed down forever. She was blessed with creativity and handmade just about everything with so much love and care. Carmen was a true matriarch to the family; instilling manners, class, respect for others and numerous other character-building traits. Her tenderness, attention to detail and endless love can never be replaced. She was a devout Catholic and believed in God. The family will miss her forever and will honor her legacy through the unity and love that she instilled in us.Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 5-9 pm at The Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA 94544. The family will receive guests from 5:30pm to 7:00 pm. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm.Carmen will be laid to rest on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Garden of Remembrance at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park.
