Carmen Leon Resident of Newark January 4, 1959 – August 30, 2013Carmen Leon, age 54 passed away Friday after a valiant battle with cancer. She touched many lives with her warm smile and positive outlook on life.Born in Jalisco, Mexico. She was a resident in Newark,Ca over 37 years. Carmen enjoyed her career in real estate. She had a strong work ethic from her father Pedro Vallejo. She devoted her life to her family and also cared for her mother Maria Vallejo who lived with her for over ten years. She enjoyed traveling with her family to many parts of the world. She had a passion and a green thumb for gardening. She always made her plants and flowers look so beautiful. What she enjoyed most was spending time with family. Celebrating milestones for her son, nieces, nephews and family friends brought her much joy.Carmen Is survived by her loving husband Felipe Leon, devoted son Edgar Leon. She is also survived by her Mother Maria R. Vallejo and grandchild, Elena Leon. She is preceded in death by her father Pedro Vallejo. Her generous loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her.Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Friday, Sept. 6, 2013 from 5-9p.m. Rosary Friday, Sept.6, 2013 at 7p.m. and funeral service on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013 at 10a.m. at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home, Mission Chapel, 32992 Mission Boulevard Hayward, CA, US, 94544 510-471-3363
