Carmen Zamboanga Jocson, lately of Union City California, passed away peacefully with family members at her side, at the age of 92 on February 8, 2014. Carmen was the wife of the late Ricardo Jocson Sr., and the beloved mother of Gaye Quijano, Bles Tsung, Rick Jocson Jr., Frank Jocson, Ludy Patawaran, Rey Jocson, Carmencita Jocson, Sally Yan, Tess Wong, Robert Jocson, Roy Jocson, Renato Jocson, and Ferdinand Jocson. She also leaves behind 25 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, her brother Carlos Zamboanga, and sister Anita Bacus.Carmen Zamboanga Jocson was born in the Philippines. She immigrated with her family to the US starting in the late 1960s and became a citizen of her adopted country shortly after. She lived in the Bay Area cities of Hayward, Fremont, Pleasanton, and Union City. She worked for Fairchild Electronics and Hewlett-Packard in the 1970s. She was devoted to her faith, and loved to sing, dance, and travel as much as she loved her family. A celebration of her life starts on Thursday, February 13, at 6pm at the Chapel of the Chimes in Union City, California. Interment on Friday, February 14th starts with mass at 10am at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Union City, California.
