Carmelo Pagan, Sr. a Castro Valley, California resident entered into rest July 1, 2003 in Castro Valley. Born in Puerto Rico on June 15, 1927, he was 76 years of age. He was in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He enjoyed gardening, playing pool and was an avid 49er fan. Loving father of Sandra Hurley of Union City, CA, Cookie Pagan of San Rafael, CA, Carmelo Pagan, Jr. of Union City, CA, Jerry Pagan of Lanette, AL and Robert Pagan of Castro Valley, CA. Dear brother of Lucy Martinez of Hayward, CA. Devoted grandfather of ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.Visitation will be held Monday, July 7, 2003 from 5:00-:830 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:30 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. Friends are welcome to attend a Funeral Service Tuesday, July 8, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. in the Mission Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA.'Service of Marked Distinction'
