Carlos Jose Fuentes, 86, of Union City, California passed away on October 12, 2020 in Plano, Texas. He was born on February 16, 1934 to Carlos Fuentes Vasquez and Maria Espinosa Duple in Parral, Chile. Carlos married Dora Castillo on March 28, 1980 in Hayward, California. He retired from Verizon as a Computer Engineer. He enjoyed traveling the world, walking, tennis, and reading. He is survived by his wife, Dora Fuentes; sons, Carlos A. Fuentes of McKinney, Texas, Gonzalo P. Fuentes of Prosper, Texas, and Marcelo A. Fuentes of Salem, Oregon; stepsons, Armando Cordoba of Winston-Salem, NC and Fernando Cordoba of Union City, CA ; stepdaughter, Patricia Mendizabal of Tracy, California; brothers, Pedro Alejandro Fuentes of Chiloe, Chile, Francisco Espinosa of Milwaukee, Oregon, and Ricardo Fuentes of Parral, Chile; sisters, Carmen Fuentes and Cecilia Fuentes of Chiloe, Chile; and grandchildren, Lily, Carlos, Megan, Juliana, Gaby, Luis, Alexa, Nico, David, Victor, Ileana, Jon, Matthew, and Nicolas.
