Carlos Lawrence Diaz's Obituary
Carlos 'Charlie' Lawrence Diaz a Dublin resident entered into rest Tuesday, September 25, 2001 in Hayward. Born in Wasco, California on April 14, 1930, he was 71 years of age. Charlie was active with children at the Hayward Atzlan Boxing Club. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He owned and operated Reflections of Hair Barber Shop in Castro Balley. He ran for City Councilman of Hayward in the early 80's. He loved to dance and especially ballroom dancing. He had played football for his high school in Wasco. He will be missed by his family.Loving father of Charlotte Diaz of Castro Valley, Martha Silva of Dublin, Larry Tony Diaz of Hayward, Jerry Diaz of Lodi and David Diaz of Castro Valley. Dear brother to seven sisters and three brothers. Devoted grandfather of twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends are welcome to attend a Memorial service Monday, October 1, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. at Victory Outreach Church, 26747 Huntwood Avenue, Hayward.The family has requested memorial donations be sent to: American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, P.O.
