She then went to Bible College for 2 years before having her 1st born Timothy.
Early 1969 in Oakland, Ca. Carlene met her lifetime husband of 55 years, Danny Perry. They were so in love and couldn’t wait to be married that same year.
They moved to San Lorenzo, California and still reside there until her untimely passing August 22.
Carlene is survived by 3 children; Timothy, Deanna, & Marie, 2 granddaughters; Mariah & Brooke, 4 grandsons Robert, Michael, Gianluca, & Christian, and 1 great grandson Robert Junior.
Carlene worked once kids started school, she also volunteered at Patton Academy Christian school as a secretary for three years while the kids were enrolled, she has held various jobs in the tool industry as well as the food industry as a secretary and receptionist until 2002. She enjoyed volunteering as a Sunday school teacher and being the Sunday School Super Intendent for eight years. She was proud to be a ENSIGN with the United State Navy Sea Cadets and commander in the Royal Rangers program.
She loved being a member of choir at LCC for 10 years amongst many other positions in the church. She was a prayer warrior and would always keep everyone she knew in her prayers.
From 1995-1998 she sang Soprano in the Gospel Sons group even making 2 cassette tapes. She sang at the missions in Richmond & several retirement homes in Oakland every other month.
Starting In 2010 she had many problems with pain in her hips, knee, back, & feet. She went through many massive surgeries most to no avail. The last 5 to 7 years she has suffered chronic pain. Pain pills stopped helping, she was very courageous through it all trusting the Lord for healing and was always encouraging to others despite her pain, she never complained, the end came tragically. We are trusting she is with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ whom she loved and served loyally for over 50 years.
No pain, No sorrow. She is now wrapped in HIS everlasting arms forever. She will be waiting on us at Heaven’s Gate with that beautiful smile.
