Carl W. Travis passes away in Belmont, CA March 27, 2004. Loving husband for 42 years to the late Marvel Jean Travis. Dear Step father of Terry J. Rife of Belmont Cousin of Norine Snodgrass of Drakesboro, KY. Brother in law of Wilma "Pinky" Avilla and Sharon Snyder. Uncle of Scott and Craig Snyder, Wayne and Michael Garrett, Sharla Gomes, Harry Avilla Jr., and John and Jerry Storbeck. Great uncle of BJ Snyder. Dear friend of Judy Johns and Ray Chan. Carl was a truck driver for over 60 years and a lover of country music. His cousin was Merle Travis, a country musicHall of Fame inductee. Services will be held Friday April 2, 2004 at 1:00 pm atChapel of the Chimes Funeral Home 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward.
