Brigitte Breaux's Obituary
On December 7, 2017 Our beloved Mother Brigitte Breaux passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was born in Munich, Germany and was raised by a loving Grandmother, but as a teenager she went to live with in a Nun’s Convent, where she studied the Bible and had thoughts of becoming a nun. That all changed when she met a handsome young soldier named, Harold Breaux from America, who at the time was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany. They soon courted and later married in 1957. The new newlywed’s time in Germany was cut short when her soldier husband had received orders to go back to the United States. Mom then became a U.S. Citizen and came to the United States with him where their family began to grow. Once here Mom began to learn English, she also learned Spanish, and was able to speak and understand all three languages. Making America her home, she and our father settled in Hayward, California in 1963. She remained married for 23 years before our father’s untimely death in 1980. Our Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother was preceded in death by our father Harold Breaux, son, Aaron Breaux, grandson Aaron Anthone Breaux, surviving children; Carmen Torres, Angela Valenzuela, Antoinette Breaux, Harold Breaux Jr., Vevencio Torres, Harold Robert Breaux, and Great Grandchildren are Danielle, Harold Anthony, Johnathan, Gavin, Dominic Aaron special mentioned Frank Powers and Cathy Thompson. Also her younger brother Gunter who resides in Germany. She was a deeply religious woman and had a great love for karaoke, dancing, cooking, baking, and going to the Senior Center and making new friends and her favorite things were Garnet gem stones and her yellow roses planted in her yard. She worked for New Haven Unified School District at James Logan High School as a Hall Monitor until 1994 and was known to the staff members as “Kitty”. A nickname our father lovingly gave her. She will be laid to rest on January 06, 2018, at 11:00 am. Gravesite where she will be rejoined with our father & beloved husband Harold Breaux.
