Blanche "Alice Soto" passed peacefully at home on February 27,2026, in Newark, Ca surrounded by her family.
Born in Holtville, Ca. as Blanca Alicia Guerrero on April 12,1934 to Maria and Refugio Guerrero, she was the eldest of 8 siblings and grew up in a hardworking family. Alice graduated from Holtville High School before beginning her 44-year banking career and retiring as Operations Manager.
Married to her high school sweetheart Rudy A. Soto for almost 68 years until his passing, they made their home in Newark, where she lived for the past 64 years as they raised their family of five children, Alejandro, Enedina, Rudy, Sylvia(deceased) and Teresa.
She enjoyed traveling to many countries with her husband, spending time volunteering at the Viola Blythe Community Center in Newark, tending to her flower garden, music and visiting family and lifelong friends.
Alice is survived by many grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren. Her strong faith and love of God was always evident in the warmth, love and kindness she expressed to everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and always remembered by those whose Lives she touched. A Memorial service will be held at 10am on March 21,2026 at Chapel of the Chimes in Union city, Ca.
