Birinder Pal Laungia's Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Birinder Pal Singh Laungia on June 24, 2022, in San Jose, California. He was 76-years-old.
He was born on November 19, 1945 in Patiala, Punjab, India. He graduated from Punjab Engineering College in 1969 and immigrated to the United States in 1975. He had a long engineering career in Silicon Valley and retired in 2006 to pursue his interests of life-long learning, gardening, keeping in touch with family and friends, seva at the gurdwara, and enjoying his grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Surjit; daughter Aman Preet and her husband Rajeev; son Agan Deep and wife Raakhee; granddaughters Athena and Satya; and grandsons Jahan and Sajan. He is also survived by his sisters, Upkar Kaur Sandhu and Sharanjeet Kaur; his brother Tej Bahadur Singh, and many nieces and nephews he loved dearly.
Services to celebrate his life will be held at the Chapel of the Chimes at 12 noon on July 3, 2022. Langar and kirtan will follow immediately at the San Jose Gurdwara at 3 PM.
