Betty O. Hedgpeth's Obituary
June 20, 1917 – January 2, 2009 Resident of Sacramento County It’s the dash that counts Betty was called home by the Lord Jesus on January 2, 2009. Born June 20, 1917 in Pasadena, California, she loved the Lord and her ministry. Betty was a minister’s wife for 43 years, and continued her ministry until her death. She loved to travel and spent many loving hours daily, tending her garden. Betty and her husband were active Amway distributors for 20 plus years, attaining Ruby Direct status in the 80’s. She was predeceased by her dear husband, Rev. William R. Hedgpeth and beloved son James D. Hedgpeth. She is survived by two daughters, Anna [David] Benham of Manteca, CA and Carole Vezien-Trew of Orangevale, CA. Her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Hedgpeth, of Columbia, CA. Seven cherished grand children, Robert [Joann] Hedgpeth, Debbie [Jeff] Wittman, Leslie Trew, Tayler Trew, Jake Trew, Chloe Benham, and Camille Benham. Precious great grandchildren, Zane Hedgpeth, Savannah Wittman and Ryder Wittman, Brother and Sister- in- law, Grant and Marcella Hedgpeth, Sisters -in- law Betty Hedgpeth and Dorthea Rankin, along with many nieces & nephews. Family and friends are invited to Cedar Boulevard Neighborhood Church, 38325 Cedar Blvd, Newark, CA on January 9, 2009 at 3:00PM in the afternoon for a memorial service, followed by a reception in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made to Citrus Heights Terrace, 7952 Old Auburn Road, Citrus Heights, CA 95610 for the creation of a Betty Hedgpeth memorial garden.
