Bertha Carolyn Mayer's Obituary
BERTHA CAROLYN MAYER Passed away on February 4, 2008 at her home in San Leandro at the age of 88 years. Born in Hydesville, California on December 12, 1919 and lived in Alameda County for 75 years. She attended schools in Richmond and graduated from Richmond Union High School in June of 1937. Proceeded in death by her loving husband Gerald Mayer and only daughter Judith Ann Matthews and her late sister Lillian McPherson and late brother Fred Voss. Survived by her loving brothers Ray and sister in law Lois Voss of Aptos, CA and Don and sister-in-law Irene Voss of Eureka, CA. Cherished grandson James Bantley and granddaughters Darci and Rich Rodgers and great-grandsons Tyler and Kyle Rodgers. Nieces, Christina, Patty, Eloise, Dianna and Donna. Her dear loving caregiver Glenda Stapf. Graveside Services will be Monday, February 11, 2008 at 11am at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA. Memorial Services will follow at 12 Noon at Hope Lutheran Church, 1801 Manor Blvd., San Leandro, CA 94579.
