Bertha Geneva Heavin a San Lorenzo, California resident entered into rest Friday, March 28, 2003 in Castro Valley, California. Born in Missouri on October 18, 1912, she was 90 years of age. She was a member of Church of the Cross. She loved gardening. Loving mother of Beatrice Heavin of San Leandro, CA, Howard and Vicki Heavin of Castro Valley, CA and Claude Heavin of Loomis, CA. Dear sister of Nora Easley of Kansas. Devoted grandmother of seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Her husband of 50 years, Claude Heavin preceded her in death in 1979.Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2003 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. Friends are welcome to attend a funeral service Wednesday, April 2, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. in the Reflection Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home. Entombment to follow at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park. "Service of Marked Distinction"
