Bernice J. Randle's Obituary
Lady Bernice Joe Stephens was born March 8, 1937 in Bastrop, Louisiana. She accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at an early age while attending the Greater Magnolia Baptist Church in Bastrop, Louisiana under the leadership of Reverend E.E. Hollins.In 1955, Bernice married the love of her life Daniel Randle. Bernice and Daniel relocated from Louisiana to Missouri and then moved on to California where Bernice worshipped and served the Lord at Trinity Baptist Church in Oakland. The Randle family made their home in Hayward, California where Bernice became a charter member of the Palma Ceia Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Charles F. Bennett. While attending Palma Ceia, Bernice served as the choir’s first pianist and was an active member of the Mission Board. She was a faithful member of Palma Ceia Baptist Church for 36 years before moving to Tracy, California and transferring her church membership to the People of Christ Baptist Church, under the pastoral leadership of Reverend Willie Rolland.Bernice and Daniel’s union resulted in a blended family of 9 children: Wallace, Marie, Carl, Daniel, Rema, Andre, Reno, Erich, and Orlando. She was a proud grandmother to April, Wahab and Hermeda; Lucrece and Andrea; Keith, Ancina, and Trina; Danielle and Matthew; Cristal; Lauren and Andrew; Corretta, Roneca, and Ericka; She also leaves behind a host of great grandchildren and many loving friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lucille and Jessie Stephens, her husband of 61 years Daniel and son Andre, her granddaughter Ancina, her brother Jessie, Jr., and sister Virginia.
