The last time i seen my great grandmother was when she was hospitalized. She looked tired but she still made everyone in the room laugh she sang while ‘skyping’ my mother, Anna Brown, she smiled. I thought to myself a couple of times that here she was not feeling very well but she still wanted to lift the spirits of everyone in the room. I walked into the room and I sat in a chair next to her bed. I looked into her eyes as I spoke with a smile and said “Hi Grandma” she smiled, and let me tell you her smile was beautiful enough to give your heart wings. She said hello back and held my gaze as she spoke softly and said “you look so sweet” I held back my tears and smiled. I remember when she used to cook for holidays at the church, I remember a lot of things about her, she was patient, strong, smart, beautiful, gracious, kind, everything good and great you could be she was, she is my Great Grandmother and now she is an angel of Gods amazing kingdom in the sky. She is with her husband whom is my Great grandfather and her son whom is my grandfather. I feel priveledged to have had Bernice Brown as my great grandmother she gave me a lot of knowledge and I will miss her until I see her again.
