Yambot, Benita v's Obituary
Benita Villamor Yambot passed away peacefully in her home on April 1, 2025, in San Leandro, CA, at the age of 101. She is survived by the Obligacion Family and Reyno Family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was born on April 3, 1923, in Tondo, Manila, Philippines to Trinidad Villamor and Pio Yambot. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and grandmother.
Benita attended National Teachers College in Metro Manila and earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She retired as Division Chief in GSIS after more than 30 years of service. She then immigrated to the Bay Area, where she permanently resided.
She was well traveled, both domestic and international. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, going to Cache Creek, playing bingo, and watching game shows (specifically Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Family Feud, and The Price is Right). She was a devoted grandmother and was always there to care for her family and offered her support whenever it was needed.
